Today’s guest is someone who brings a unique and deeply personal perspective to the conversation around recovery, mental health, and creativity. He is a person in long-term recovery from both substance use and schizophrenia, and he currently works in the recovery field supporting others on their journeys. Along the way, he’s become a novelist, a self-published author, and an advocate for compassionate approaches to psychosis and mental illness.
In this episode, we’ll be talking about the impact of Kratom on people with schizophrenia, the realities of living with and supporting someone in psychosis, and the creative journey of writing a novel. We’ll also explore the challenges faced by aging caregivers and the many forms that recovery from schizophrenia can take.
His story is layered, honest, and full of insight—and I’m really grateful to have him here today. Please welcome Eric Dias to the most high show.
